PSN, in collaboration with Penta Real Estate, is launching an open art competition to design an artwork for a new public space as part of the Vinohradská 8 project. The competition focuses on an artistic intervention in the area between the future Vinohradská 8 office building and the existing Vinohradská 10 building, a location set to become an important urban passage in the near future.
The project includes the creation of a new pedestrian connection through the block, linking Římská, Vinohradská, and Rubešova streets. This passage aims to become a natural part of everyday city movement while offering a high-quality public space with the potential for active use. The artwork will play a key role here – highlighting the entrance to the courtyard, enlivening the space in front of the office building, and attracting the attention of passersby and visitors alike.
The competition is two-stage and open to a broad range of applicants. Interested participants can apply for the first stage by submitting an application by May 3, 2026. The theme is open, and the approach is entirely up to the authors. Inspiration may be drawn from the history of the site, its current character, the wider urban context, or the dynamics of city life.
The final selection will be made by a jury composed of representatives of both organizers, the Prague 2 municipal district, and independent art professionals. Max Skala will represent PSN on the jury, alongside experts including Marie Foltýnová, Dušan Záhoranský, Jana Bernatová, Jakub Klaška, and Emma Hanzlíková.
