Brno Jedna is undergoing a major transformation. The former industrial site on Plynárenská Street is gradually becoming a new urban neighbourhood. And alongside new architecture, homes and public spaces, art is becoming part of its new identity.
One of the works you can now encounter on the site is RIOT by Pasta Oner, one of the most prominent figures on the Czech contemporary art scene. Its very name evokes rebellion, unrest and energy – qualities that feel perfectly at home at Brno Jedna. Here, old meets new, the site’s industrial past meets contemporary architecture, and history gives way to a new future for the entire area.
