A new chapter is beginning on Plynárenská Street in Brno. Together with city representatives and partners, we laid the foundation stone for Brno Jedna, a new district that will transform the former industrial site into a modern part of the city.
Among those present were René Černý, City Councillor for Investments and First Deputy Mayor, Vojtěch Mencl, Mayor of the Brno-střed district, Olympic champion and proud Brno native David Kostelecký, architects from A8000 studio, and our colleagues from PSN – both from Brno and beyond.
The first buildings of the new district will be Neon and Xenon, designed by A8000. They will offer 188 residential and accommodation units ranging from studios to four-bedroom apartments, with shops and services on the ground floor and shared spaces that foster community life – from a landscaped courtyard to a rooftop terrace with a workout area.
For PSN, Brno Jedna is an example of how a developer can work sensitively with the urban environment while delivering real added value for residents. „Brno has enormous potential to grow within the city itself – in places that have long lost their original function. We are glad to be part of this process and to launch the transformation of this site into a modern neighborhood with the first buildings, Neon and Xenon,” says Petr Pospíšil, Director of PSN’s Brno branch.
The first phase is just the beginning. Brno Jedna is a pilot for a broader transformation of the entire area into a district that will combine housing, offices, services, and public infrastructure. Completion of the first phase is planned for the end of 2027 – opening the way for Plynárenská’s next chapter as a modern Brno neighborhood.
