Grand is part of our story. Now it’s home to our Pardubice office

Designed by Josef Gočár, the Functionalist landmark is one of the buildings that give Pardubice its distinctive character. From the outset, it brought together different aspects of city life and provided a place for people to meet. The same idea guided our approach to its restoration: preserving its exceptional architecture while giving people reasons to return to Grand every day.

A shared history that continues

Our relationship with Grand dates back to the 1990s. In 1999, we reopened it as a shopping centre following its refurbishment, and in 2019, we brought the building back into our portfolio. We then began planning its next transformation, seeking to honour Gočár’s legacy while reflecting how people spend their time in the city today.

The recent refurbishment, led by architectural studio OVA, brought the qualities of the original architecture back to the fore: generous interiors, marble and geometric details. A new glazed entrance hall opened Grand up towards třída Míru. Today, shops, dining, a cinema and coworking spaces together fulfil the original vision of a building where work, culture and everyday life meet.

A new home in a building we care for

By relocating our office, we are becoming part of that daily life ourselves. Grand will be a place where we work, meet clients and develop new projects for Pardubice and the surrounding area. Our new premises are a natural continuation of the work we have put into restoring the building.
