The Vinohradská 8 project has officially entered a new phase today. With a ceremonial groundbreaking, we symbolically launched the transformation of one of the most prominent addresses on the border of Prague’s Vinohrady district and the city centre.
The project is being developed jointly by PSN and Penta Real Estate and will create a new urban complex combining residential living, offices, retail, public space, and art. The ambition is to sensitively build on the historical character of the location while introducing contemporary architecture and a high-quality urban environment for everyday life. The ceremony was attended by representatives of the investors, architects, and the city. Speakers included Max Skala on behalf of PSN, Marek Dospiva representing Penta Real Estate, and architect Jan Hofamn from Jakub Cigler Architekti.
_“Vinohradská 8 is an exceptional project for us not only because of its address, but above all because of the opportunity to participate in the transformation of such an important place in the centre of Prague. From the very beginning, we have been thinking about how to create a space that will become a natural part of the city and serve residents, visitors, and Prague itself for decades to come,” _said ** Max Skala, Managing Director of PSN**, during the ceremony.
Art in public space will also play an important role within the project. Vinohradská 8 is therefore accompanied by an open art competition aimed at bringing a contemporary artwork naturally connected to both the architecture and the public realm. Over the coming years, one of Prague’s most distinctive addresses will evolve into a vibrant new urban destination that connects the history of the place with contemporary city life.
